FAQ

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CLASSIC LASHES AND RUSSIAN VOLUME LASHES?
With Classic Lashes, one eyelash extension is applied to each natural lash in order to add length and volume. With Russian Volume Lashes, 3 to 10 super fine eyelashes hand made into fans are attached to each natural eyelash. Russian Volume Eyelashes give a fuller, more glamorous look than Classic Eyelash Extensions.

HOW LONG DO THEY LAST
A full set (without any infill appointments) can last anything up to 6 weeks however once applied you will lose a few eyelash extensions daily which is why in order to maintain the appearance of a full set, you need to have an infill maintenance appointment every 2-4 weeks (depending on aftercare). With regular infill appointments your lashes will stay on forever or until you decide to no longer have them on. If you are having the eyelash extensions applied for a special occasion or holiday and do not intend to maintain them after this then all the eyelash extensions should have come off by the end of week 6. Alternatively you can book an appointment for a removal of any remaining eyelash extensions at any time.

HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE
A full set of Russian Volume Eyelashes takes between 1 hour and 45 minutes to 2 hours and 15 minutes depending on the look wanted and the natural lashes. Classic Lashes take between 1 hour and 1 hour and 45 minutes. Infill appointments are available for 1 hour and 30 minutes (Russian volume only) and 1 hour (both Russian volume and classic).

HOW DO I LOOK AFTER THE EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Once applied, the eyelash extensions must be kept dry for 24 hours. This means no swimming, sauna, steam rooms and no very hot baths or showers (cool ones are okay al long as you avoid the eye area) until 24 hours has passed. Anything oil based or greasy to touch (eye make-up removers, face creams, serums, sun tan lotions etc) must be avoided at all times, if they get into contact with the eyelash extensions rinse immediately. Mascara must not be applied at any time, this also contains oil, as does liquid eye liner. Not only that, trying to remove the mascara and/or eyeliner is likely to damage the eyelash extensions causing them to shed prematurely and potentially damage your natural lashes. Lastly no rubbing or pulling the eyelash extensions, again this will cause them to shed prematurely and will damage your natural lashes.

WHAT IS A LASH LIFT
A lash lift is a great alternative to eyelash extensions. Your natural lashes are permed into a natural curl and then tinted giving the appearance of length and volume. The treatment time is one hour with no maintenance appointments required. You can wear mascara and eye make-up afterwards.

 WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE
I use only high end, professional eyelash extension supplies from quality suppliers. The eyelash extension glue I use is EU Regulated and is medical grade, which means it is not classed as a cosmetic product and can only be used by professionals. For the Lash Lift I use Elleebana products which are the best and quickest working on the market in the UK.

IVE HAD EYELASH EXTENSIONS OR A LASH LIFT BEFORE, DO I NEED A PATCH TEST
Absolutely Yes! Everyone must have a patch test prior to their appointment. Without this I will be unable to carry out the treatment for health and insurance purposes. Every eyelash technician uses different brands and strengths of glue, because you have had them before without any reaction does not mean that will always be the case. You can develop an allergic reaction to anything at any point even if you have been exposed to it numerous times for numerous years.
